gzstream is a nice wrapper around zlib.
zlib should exist as /usr/lib/libz.so
If it is elsewhere, you will have to specify the path in the Makefile with
the -L option. If for some reason your Solaris system lacks zlib, you
will have to download and compile it from www.zlib.net
