In the past, this kind of error has been sorted out by changing
compiler, but that doesn't seem like a very good option. I think this
happens when one the symbols created for some reason don't agree with
Simics' view of how symbol mangling works. We used to copy /lib/libgcc
and /usr/lib/libstdc++ into Simics directly (back in the Simics 2.x
days), and I think it was for this reason. Perhaps the same trick will
work again (with the different Simics 3.x directory structure)?
