I think we've found the heart of the problem: Line 685 of the Gems 2.0
release of MESI_SCMP_bankdirectory-L2cache.sm is commented out -- and it
is intended to profile misses. Try uncommenting this line, recompiling
the protocol, and trying again.
As an aside, you'll want to add to your list of commands:
'istc-disable' right after dstc-disable and 'ruby0.setparam
g_MEMORY_SIZE_BYTES 4294967296' before ruby0.init.
