Yes. The two transitions I mentioned were examples, not an exhaustive list.
 

So, I am loading Ruby and making the necessary Simics changes at this point to speed-up the simulation. Am I doing something wrong?

Verify you invoke 'simics -stall' not just 'simics'.

I did start all my Simics sessions with ./simics -stall.  I can replicate the runs but I am pretty sure about this.

In that case, I have no idea why you are not seeing instruction accesses.
