Re: [Condor-users] condor 6.6.7 on SuSE, 2.6.5-7.111-smp kernel

Hello,

I am also dealing with this kind of problem :

my new CONDOR-6.6.6 cluster is mainly based on SuSE 8.2 (kernel 2.4.20, glibc 2.3.2), with two SuSE 9.1 (2.6.4-52 glibc 2.3.3).

I wondered why some machines did not accept to run jobs, and it turned out that schedd is failing (seg fault) on the newer machines.

Is it possible to find a compatible schedd ?
REM: master and startd seem working well

It would be very annoying to not use those k2.6 machines.

Thanks for your help

Alain

Hi,

Does anyone know how to get condor 6.6.7 running correctly on SuSE with the 2.6 kernel ?

Most of the daemons seem to work fine, but when I try to submit a java job I get nothing
but:

Bit surprised it's references NTxxxx.C here -- I already had to manually set

MEMORY = 1024
RESERVED_SWAP = 0

so my guess is that either I'm using the wrong installer for this machine or I need some more tricks
to get it to behave..

Anybody any ideas?

Thanks in advance,
- Filip
