There are no fundamental incompatibilities between 6.7.2 and 6.7.6 that we 
are aware of. Of course, we've fixed lots of bugs and added lots of 
features, so it's possible that the lack of one of the bug fixes is 
affecting you, but I doubt it.

It shouldn't be.

Check that CONDOR_HOST is set correctly in the XP's setup. Is the 
condor_startd running on that computer? If so, are there errors in the 
StartLog? Are there errors in the CollectorLog on the central manager?
