I'm running the Condor 6.7.3 Fedora RPM  on my Fedora Core 2 Dual proc 
machne and it seems to work fine.
I had to add the following inn to the local config of my fedora core two 
machine  or it would never show up in the output of condor_status.

MEMORY=(amount of memory) in your machine
UPDATE_COLLECTOR_WITH_TCP = True
COLLECTOR_SOCKET_CACHE_SIZE = 300
