[Condor-users] /etc/hosts problem

-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-----
Hash: SHA1

I observe a wierd problem with /etc/hosts file. If the file has 2 entries like:
127.0.0.1 localhost
127.0.1.1 nemo.ie.lehigh.edu nemo

then the condor_master on nemo throws out error like:
4/3 13:33:44 DaemonCore: Command Socket at <127.0.1.1:37429>
4/3 13:33:44 Started DaemonCore process "/usr/local/condor/sbin/condor_startd", pid and pgroup = 9670
4/3 13:33:44 Started DaemonCore process "/usr/local/condor/sbin/condor_schedd", pid and pgroup = 9671
4/3 13:33:49 Can't connect to <128.180.xxx.xxx:9618>:0, errno = 22
4/3 13:33:49 Will keep trying for 20 seconds...
4/3 13:34:09 Connect failed for 20 seconds; returning FALSE
4/3 13:34:09 ERROR: SECMAN:2003:TCP connection to <128.180.xxx.xxx:9618> failed

If i remove the 2nd entry from /etc/hosts, the problem goes away. i would like
to have both entries in /etc/hosts as it is the default in new debian
installations. Do i need to change some condor config parameter to accomodate
this?

thanks!
