Re: [Condor-users] "This account is currently not available."?

Hi,

You are correct.

I have included below data from my /var/log/security file.

Dec 20 19:56:12 myserver xinetd[1721]: START: shell pid=17439
from=111.111.111.111
Dec 20 19:56:12 myserver rshd[17439]: pam_rhosts_auth(rsh:auth): denied to
nobody@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx as nobody: access not allowed
Dec 20 19:56:12 myserver rshd[17439]: pam_unix(rsh:session): session opened
for user nobody by (uid=0)
Dec 20 19:56:13 myserver rshd[17439]: pam_unix(rsh:session): session closed
for user nobody
Dec 20 19:59:42 myserver xinetd[1721]: START: shell pid=17571
from=111.111.111.111
Dec 20 19:59:42 myserver rshd[17571]: pam_rhosts_auth(rsh:auth): denied to
nobody@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx as nobody: access not allowed
Dec 20 19:59:42 myserver rshd[17571]: pam_unix(rsh:session): session opened
for user nobody by (uid=0)
Dec 20 19:59:42 myserver rshd[17571]: pam_unix(rsh:session): session closed
for user nobody
Dec 20 20:02:44 myserver userhelper[17641]:
pam_timestamp(system-config-services:session): updated timestamp file
`/var/run/sudo/root/unknown'
Dec 20 20:02:44 myserver userhelper[17644]: running
'/usr/sbin/system-config-services' with root privileges on behalf of 'root'

How do I enable this 'nobody' account!?

The error message in question comes when something, probably condor
itself, is trying to su to a different user id and that user id isn't
there. Check the StartLog and StarterLog on machine B,
and the ShadowLog on machineA for more ideas about condor,
and also check the users available on machine A and machine B. It
is not required that all users be available on all machines but there
are some configuration settings that you may have to change.
