[Condor-users] Permission denied error

when i try to run the command
  
  condor_master 
  
  as root user i get this error
  
  root@greenwich-nh:/home/condor# condor_master
  Can't open "/home/condor/log/MasterLog"
  2/6 10:54:43 dprintf() had a fatal error in pid 25278
  Can't open "/home/condor/log/MasterLog"
  errno: 13 (Permission denied)
  euid: 1002, ruid: 0
  
  
  I just changed the local config file of all the nodes because i wanted  to run MPI jobs on condor. after changing the files i restarted all the  daemons but they wont start now. i dont think the above error is  because of that. any suggestions?
  
  i am getting this error on all nodes.
  
  there is nothing suspicious to report from the log files either.
