Re: [Condor-users] JobLeaseDuration

Does this work for the mpi universe? I queued up some mpi jobs with a JobLeaseDuration = 3600 then on the dedicated scheduler tried the condor_off -fast -schedd followed by a condor restart. however, all the jobs appeared to have been killed and restarted.

Thanks,

Cliff

And what is the default value?
the default value is "undefined" which means "don't use job leases".

it was until version 6.7.19:

http://www.cs.wisc.edu/condor/manual/v6.7.19/8_3Development_Release.html

"The JobLeaseDuration now defaults to 20 minutes for all jobs that support this feature (everything except standard and PVM universe, and jobs that request streaming I/O). This way, by default, if the submit host crashes or there is a short network outage, the condor_ schedd will be able to reconnect to jobs that were executing at the time of problem."

enjoy,
