The execute directory must have read/write rights voor condor. Normally
this is automatic arranged by de condor-setup installation.
Look  also in de condor_config where the location is set for the
condordirectories:

EXECUTE		= $(LOCAL_DIR)/execute

Are these vanilla jobs? Shared filesystem? 
if yes and no, are you askign condor to transfer back the files?
