Actually I tried to install R software for different flavor of Linux on 
Red Hat Enterprise (since my chirp server running on it) but the
installation fails because of the OS related libraries.

So do you mean install the R software for different flavor of Linux on
their corresponding machines once the installation is success, then
copy(sftp) the libraries for each flavor of Linux in the chirp server as
you mentioned, instead of trying to install different flavor of R
software on RHEL.

Please let me know.

Perhaps you can set up your software like this:

/chirp/server/R/redhat3
/chirp/server/R/redhat4
/chirp/server/R/slackware
...

And then your Condor job can determine the Linux flavor, and then
run the right version of R...
