[Condor-users] Querying license availability with FlexLM

We have some commercial software and have a limited number of licenses available. The software uses FlexLM to manage the licenses. How would one make sure that one of the requirements for the job to start was that a sufficient license was available. The status of the licenses is queried by running an application that returns an ASCII output indicating how many licenses are available for that particular application.

 

I read in one of the FAQ's about using the startd cron capabilities, but was not sure how this would work.

 

Any help is appreciated.
