[Condor-users] Usage or purpose of spool's cluster*.proc*.subproc*.tmp directory

Hi,
What is the purpose of having 2 spool directories for a Job.
whether files from execute node will copied to cluster*.proc*.subproc*
or cluster*.proc*.subproc*.tmp directory.

sometimes I have seen files copied to cluster*.proc*.subproc*.tmp
directory but most of time the files are copied to
cluster*.proc*.subproc* directory.

Issue : once my execute node failed to copy files in between while
transferring it to spool directory. so half of the files were
overwritten and remaining doesn't. so inconsistency in files.
why can't transfer first to cluster*.proc*.subproc*.tmp only on success
we can move files to cluster*.proc*.subproc* directory.
so there will be no inconsistency in files.
