Re: [Condor-users] GSI Authentication failure in condor

Thanks for the reply,

The scenario is i have installed rpm package of condor 7.2.4 in FC11..

when i go for installation of condor 7.2.3 or 7.2.4 (the tar ball packages) it starts downloading the packages, it does not uses already installed e.g. PKI, globus, glibc which result in crash of system (FC11 issue. some linking error of libc.so.6). What i want is if at all it is possible to keep globus running as i have configured and install condor binary that can use existing globus and the packages thar are already on the system..

One more thing: using webservice facility of globus i am able to submit hte job to condor, but simply using globusrun it failes..

Case 1: Using globusrun-ws  (Using Condor LRM (local resource manager))

[grid-node@grid-server ~]$ globusrun-ws -submit -F https://grid-server.iiitm.ac.in:8443/wsrf/services/ManagedJobFactoryService -Ft Condor -c /bin/touch touched_condor.txt
Submitting job...Done.
Job ID: uuid:6dac2000-b1e3-11de-adfb-0016d3a6f835
Termination time: 10/05/3009 19:15 GMT
Current job state: Pending
Current job state: Active
Current job state: CleanUp
Current job state: Done
Destroying job...Done.
[grid-node@grid-server ~]$

Case 2: Using globusrun

a) Using Condor LRM

   [grid-node@grid-server ~]$ globusrun  -r grid-server.iiitm.ac.in:2119/jobmanager-condor -f example.rsl
   globus_gram_client_callback_allow successful
   GRAM Job submission successful
GRAM Job failed because the job failed when the job manager attempted to run it (error code 17)
  [grid-node@grid-server ~]$

b) Using fork LRM

   [grid-node@grid-server ~]$ globusrun  -r grid-server.iiitm.ac.in:2119/jobmanager-fork -f example.rsl
   globus_gram_client_callback_allow successful
   GRAM Job submission successful
  [grid-node@grid-server ~]$

Case 3: Using globus-job-run command:

a) Using Condor LRM of globus

    [grid-node@grid-server ~]$ globus-job-run grid-server.iiitm.ac.in/jobmanager-condor /bin/date

ERROR: This version of Condor doesn't support X509 credentials!
GRAM Job failed because the job failed when the job manager attempted to run it (error code 17)
   [grid-node@grid-server ~]$

b) Using Fork LRM of globus
  [grid-node@grid-server ~]$ globus-job-run grid-server.iiitm.ac.in/jobmanager-fork /bin/date
    Tue Oct  6 00:51:44 IST 2009
   [grid-node@grid-server ~]$

Not able to figure out the problem, even i am not getting any log in condor logs in case 3.

***IMP Note::: condor_config file is used as it comes with package (default)

for whatever reason, this build of condor doesn't have GSI support compiled in.

it was this error message that tipped me off:

> 10/3 19:01:42 AUTHENTICATE: unsupported method: 32, failing.
> 10/3 19:01:42 DC_AUTHENTICATE: authenticate failed: AUTHENTICATE:1003:Failure.

i would suggest going to http://www.cs.wisc.edu/condor/downloads-v2/ and
downloading binaries from there to get globus support compiled in.

try again with those binaries, and let us know how it goes.
