Re: [Condor-users] About Flocking

And you’ll need firewall ports (incl high ephemeral ones) open as well.

At least until recently plenty of ports open between ANY Submit to ANY Execute (and vice versa) tpc and udp in whatever pool that is involved in that direction of flocking.

See http://epubs.cclrc.ac.uk/work-details?w=34452 for more details

ISTR that a new form of flocking is being looked at where a lot more traffic will go through the central nodes to avoid all this firewall opening, but I don’t recall whether that is released yet or “on the horizon”.

Cheers

Normaly, From Execute Node  to Central Manager of pool to flock.

2010/6/9 Ian Chesal <ian.chesal@xxxxxxxxx>

2010/6/9 Edier Alberto Zapata Hernández <edalzap@xxxxxxxxx>

Then it is, from Submit Node to Central Manager right?

So every Submit Node I need to Flock, must have the FLOCK_TO line in the condor_config.local file?

Yes.
