Is there a reason you cannot simply have a service which periodically calls condor_status and dumps the result to a log file?

Total number of servers available
Scheduler(s) in use in the entire pool

thru condor logs?

I have debugging enabled but was not able to see these stats clearly.
Any help would be appreciated. I am trying to find an alternative to
condor_status and condor_q thru log files
