Re: [Condor-users] Condor and KVM: cannot connect to qemu:///session

Hi Tim,

Thanks for the quick reply, and I'm going to have to apologize in advance for the long email, but I've included both the VM_GAHP log and the libvirt log during a job run. Hopefully you can help me analyze them.

D_FULLDEBUG was actually enabled, but I left out large chunks of the log. Here's the full log output for a VM universe job:

From what I see in the libvirt log, it appears to connect and disconnect with no errors. Is that what a normal connection should look like?

Also, why is the libvirt log auto-probing the different connection types (Test, Remote, Xen, QEMU)? I believe that "qemu:///session" is hardcoded as the URI in the Condor source. Shouldn't virConnectOpen have name=qemu:///session? Shouldn't it automatically see that it should use QEMU?

And lastly, if you look at the timestamps, Condor reports a failure a few seconds before the libvirt info is even logged. Is this just due to file writing delay on the logs? Or is it failing before Condor even talks to libvirt?

Thanks again for all of your help.

If you could enable D_FULLDEBUG for VM_GAHP and send the log that would
greatly help in diagnosing the possible root cause of the failure.
