[Condor-users] ERROR: Failed to connect to local queue manager; AUTHENTICATE:1002:Failure performing handshake

Hi!

I am submitting a job from a Linux machine. The executing machines are also Linux machines.

Condor_submit run.sub gives the following error,

ERROR: Failed to connect to local queue manager

AUTHENTICATE:1002:Failure performing handshake

Do you have any hints on the reason for this error?

HOSTALLOW_WRITE and HOSTALLOW_READ  is set to *.

CollectorLog shows the following,

PERMISSION DENIED to unauthenticated user from host xx.xxx.xx.xxx

for command 10 (QUERY_STARTD_PVT_ADS), access level NEGOTIATOR: reason: NEGOTIAT

OR authorization policy contains no matching ALLOW entry for this request;

And NegotiatorLog the following,

Trying to query collector <xx.xxx.xx.xxx:xxx>

1/19 14:54:45 condor_read(): recv() returned -1, errno = 104, assuming failure r

eading 5 bytes from unknown source.

1/19 14:54:45 IO: Failed to read packet header

1/19 14:54:45 Couldn't fetch ads: communication error

1/19 14:54:45 Aborting negotiation cycle

I have looked on older posts but couldn’t find any explanation.

Any hints on how to solve this problem?

Concerning my previous email: it is still actual. I am thankful to any answer to the questions I asked on that mail too.

I have two different condor pools. This email relates to one of them and my previous email to the other.

Thanks!

Best regards,

Sónia
