[HTCondor-users] Condor 8 (pool) and Condor 7 (master). No problems?

Hi,

I am about to upgrade a large group of Windows pool PCs.
In our situation this is a time consuming process and therefore it only happens every 3 or 4 years.

I am tempted to install the latest stable Condor version (8.0.2) on the pool PCs.
Would that be a wise choice?

The master is still running 7.9.1 (this is the version from the Fedora repository).

Of course, eventually the master will also upgrade to 8, but for the moment are there any known issues when the master still runs Condor 7.9 ?
