Hi Doug and Brian,

I am working on fixing this up. It turns out that some of the updates in the build tools for the development release had an unintended side effect on the stable release. As soon as the new RPM is built, I post an update. This problem is limited to 64-bit RHEL6 RPMs.

Hi Doug,

I can confirm that I also see the posted RPM incorrectly owning various system directories (present in 8.2.8; not present in 8.2.7). Perhaps some bug in the release procedure?

Anyhow, HTCondor obviously can't own some of these directories - the packaging will need to be fixed before folks can use the RPMs in the yum repo. I'm sure TimT is already looking into it...
