OK, that was actually wrong: I made a tpyo in the script. Apologies for
the noise.

It appears to be working as it should, at least with a do-nothing
script. The only bit that's missing so far is a way for a job to ask for
machines where the hook is configured. Now we'll see if I can run a hook
that's actually useful.
