Industrial Track paper submission deadline (extended): October 31, 2016, 23:59 GMT
Author notification: December 12, 2016
Camera-ready deadline: January 15, 2017

The 5th IEEE International Conference onÂCloudÂEngineeringÂ(IC2E) seeks to provide a high-quality and comprehensive forum, where researchers and practitioners can exchange information onÂengineeringÂprinciples, enabling technologies, and practical experiences related toÂcloudÂcomputing. By bringing together experts that work on different levels of theÂcloudÂstack - systems, storage, networking, platforms, databases, and applications, IC2E offers an end-to-end view on the challenges and technologies incloudÂcomputing, fosters research that addresses the interaction between different layers of the stack, and ultimately helps shape the future ofÂcloud-transformed business and society.

The IC2E 2017 Industrial Track invites papers emphasizing practical experiences, real-world applications and emerging challenges in the industry on topics of interest that are similar to those in the general conference call for papers. All accepted papers will be presented at the conference and included in the conference proceedings. The industrial track aims to enable broader industry participation. It provides a forum for the discussion of practical issues runningÂcloudÂplatforms or services, and sharing of information and best practices among developers, practitioners, service providers andÂcloudÂoperators.

Key areas of interest include:

* Design, implementation and operation ofÂcloudÂplatforms
* Practical design issues with infrastructure, platform and other as-a-service offerings
* Experimental data onÂcloudÂoperations and usage patterns
* Managing big data, practical challenges and emerging techniques
* Platforms and services around data and analytics
* Operational analytics and DevOps solutions
* Experience withÂcloudÂmanagement systems, tools, and integration
CloudÂsecurity, privacy, compliance, and trust
* Resource management and accounting forÂcloud
* Energy management inÂcloudÂcenters
CloudÂand mobile intersection
CloudÂprogramming models, benchmarks, and tools
CloudÂoperating models including, public, on-premises and hybrid integration
* Economics ofÂcloudÂincluding metering, pricing, billing and licence management
* Service lifecycle management and automation
CloudÂruntimes including virtualization, containers, unikernels, event-driven serverless computing

ÂSubmission Instructions:Â

* Papers must not exceed 8 pages (IEEE style), including abstract, all figures, tables, and references. Submitted papers should follow the general IC2E formatting instructions. Submitted papers may not be submitted for conference publication, journal publication, or be under review for any other conference or journal. For any questions regarding this, please contact the track chair.
