So this should be set on the MASTER / SUBMIT node or the execution node ? 

 

I also have several DAGS that sit on the Q for a long timeâ (greater than 1 hr) but the arenât really allocated to a SLOT.. so those should not be affected by this .. correct?

that is relatively straight forward, use system-periodic-remove:

 

RemoveDefaultJobWallTime = ( RemoteWallClockTime > 60 * 60 )

## Removal of jobs exceeding resource limits
SYSTEM_PERIODIC_REMOVE = $(RemoveDefaultJobWallTime)

 

You can also define the timespan between sigstop and sigkill somewhere if you want to, can look it up for you if needed ...

How can I put a upper limit on the length of a job?  I want to kill any job that runs for more than 1 hr.
