The job id counter lives in the job_queue.log file on the submit machine. Run

condor_config_val spool

To find out what directory that file lives in. Delete that file while the Schedd is not running and your job id's will start at 1
for that Schedd the next time you start up the Schedd.

This will also DELETE ALL OF THE JOBS IN THE QUEUE!! so please use this knowledge with care.

Hi Giuseppe,

I think Job ID Counter is kept by the individual Sched, and not by the Collector.

One way I know to do it is to remove all the logs from the condor/log directory and then condor_restart on the Sched. Then the next job submitted goes in as 1.0. I expect it is only necessary to remove the SchedLog, but I've not confirmed this.

Best Regards,
Mark
