[HTCondor-users] Group Accounting in the Negotiator Log

Dear Condor Experts,

I have a (hopefully simple) question about the group accounting info that gets printed to the Negotiator's log. I'm wondering why the final "allocated" number of weighted slots printed at the end of calculating quotas/fairshare is different than the "current proposed allocation" printed at the start of negotiation with the Schedd.

Here's an example:

09/27/19 16:54:41 group quotas: group= prod.trolls2.trolls2_crowd Âquota= 2008.58 Ârequested= 59158 Âallocated= 2321.85 Âunallocated= 56836.2

09/27/19 16:54:45 Group prod.trolls2.trolls2_crowd - sortkey= 0.543669
09/27/19 16:54:45 Group prod.trolls2.trolls2_crowd - BEGIN NEGOTIATION
09/27/19 16:54:45 NEGOTIATOR_STRICT_ENFORCE_QUOTA is true, current proposed allocation for prod.trolls2.trolls2_crowd is 1345.27

The first appears to be the correct number of weight slots, while the second is actually used for calculating the submitterLimit and when to stop matching jobs.

The allocations seem to be working correctly, so I think I'm just missing a step.

Thanks,
Collin
