Hi,

Weâre running a vanilla universe Condor pool on AWS that automatically scales up and down based on the job queue.

The pool consists of a Windows-based central manager (running the schedd, collector, negotiator and credd) and Windows-based execute nodes.

HI Peet:

This is a big change for you, but most of our large pools of Windows execute nodes rely on Linux for the collector/negotiator, which scales better. Would it be possible for you to configure a pool with a Linux machine as the central manager, keeping Windows for you submit and execute points? HTCondor is perfectly happy to run in such a mixed OS way.
