as add-on question: on serializing dictionaries: quotation marks are not 
allowed for wrapping keys, or? ð

e.g., a ~serialized python dict with ,â; & :â, like
    '["hi"="joo";"floops"=12345]'
ends up as 'undefined' in a job attribute
but
    '[hi="joo";floops=12345]'
gets propagated to the schedd successfully (at least as string-like).
