[condor-users] condor_store_cred on Windoze won't accept password

Hello condor-users@xxxxxxxxxxx,

Is anyone running Condor on Windoze 2000? If so, have you seen
the problem described below?

Hello condor-admin@xxxxxxxxxxx,

Testing with condor has gone great on Linux and HP-UX, but now I'm
trying my first condor_submit from Windoze. Your FAQ says I should run
condor_store_cred add, which I did, but it won't accept my password.
I've tried it several times, and am pretty confident I keyed in the
password correctly. I'm using the password I use when I first boot
up the system. Perhaps I'm using the wrong password? Is there a
log I can inspect for more information?

Is this the account and domain that you expect? The reason your password
failed is because Condor can not create a user token from it. Try turning
on D_FULLDEBUG for the SCHEDD_DEBUG. If the output doesn't help, send
it to us and we'll have a look.

Hello condor-admin@xxxxxxxxxxx,

b75826 and KCUS are indeed the id and domain I login with when
I boot windoze. My PC's TCP/IP hostname is B75826-2K1.kcc.com.
I changed SCHEDD_DEBUG to D_FULLDEBUG, then did the following:

	Microsoft Windows 2000 [Version 5.00.2195]
	(C) Copyright 1985-2000 Microsoft Corp.
	R:\f3d\rdodge>condor_reconfig
Sent "Reconfig" command to local master
	R:\f3d\rdodge>condor_store_cred add
	Account: b75826@KCUS
	Enter password:
	Confirm password:
Password is invalid for this account.

Here is from Schedlog:

I noted the "No Accountant host specified in config file" message, and
looked for such a parameter in condor_config. The only place "accountant"
shows up is in one line:

	VALID_SPOOL_FILES = job_queue.log, job_queue.log.tmp, history, \
                          Accountant.log, Accountantnew.log

Whatever error I have may be staring me in the face, and I wouldn't
know it. I'm basically an ignoramus when it comes to Windoze, and
avoid it as much as possible. Wouldn't be trying this from Windoze if
one of our people hadn't asked for it. Hope you can help, and thanks.
