[HTCondor-users] HTCondor 23.0/23.x - condor_kbdd is missing

Hi,

After an upgrade from condor 10.0.9 to 23.0.2 condor_kbdd is missing to all our workstations. We're running Ubuntu 22.04. When downgrading to htcondor 10.0.9 condor_kbdd is found and working as expected. We're installing from your ubuntu repo ( http://research.cs.wisc.edu/htcondor/repo/ubuntu/23.0)

condor_kbdd -v
$CondorVersion: 10.0.9 2023-09-28 BuildID: 678199 PackageID: 10.0.9-1.1 $
$CondorPlatform: X86_64-Ubuntu_22.04 $

#####

$CondorVersion: 23.0.2 2023-11-20 BuildID: 690948 PackageID: 23.0.2-1.1 $
$CondorPlatform: X86_64-Ubuntu_22.04 $

#####

Âtail -f /var/log/condor/MasterLog
11/28/23 10:48:36 /usr/sbin/condor_kbdd: Cannot execute (errno=2, No such file or directory)
11/28/23 10:48:36 restarting /usr/sbin/condor_kbdd in 41 seconds

####

-bash: /usr/sbin/condor_kbdd: No such file or directory

####

Upgrading to 23.1.0 didn't solve the issue.

Has condor_kbdd been replaced by another mechanism to determine KeyboardIdleTime? I have not found anything about this in the changelogs.

Many thanks for your help,

Daniel
