Subject: [Gems-users] Problem Compiling RUBY with MOESI_SMP_bcast
Hi,
I seem to be having problems compiling ruby with MOESI_SMP protocol. I get
the following error message when compiling on an AMD64 machine.

make generated/MOESI_SMP_bcast/generated
cat: ../protocols/MOESI_SMP_bcast.slicc: No such file or directory
make[1]: Entering directory `/home/students/sri3/GEMS/ruby'
make[1]: `generated/MOESI_SMP_bcast/generated' is up to date.
make[1]: Leaving directory `/home/students/sri3/GEMS/ruby'
Ruby: Generating ruby objects
make amd64-linux/generated/MOESI_SMP_bcast/bin/tester.exec
cat: ../protocols/MOESI_SMP_bcast.slicc: No such file or directory
make[1]: Entering directory `/home/students/sri3/GEMS/ruby'
make[1]: *** No rule to make target `L1Cache_Entry.h', needed by
`amd64-linux/generated/MOESI_SMP_bcast/obj/Throttle.d'. Stop.
make[1]: Leaving directory `/home/students/sri3/GEMS/ruby'
make: *** [all] Error 2

The quickstart guide mentioned I might have to change configuration
points. Does anyone have any idea what that might mean?
Thanks
Sid
