If he is using the same g_RANDOM_SEED, then in theory it should be the same. Although I've seen unexplained non-determinism in Simics before...Also, I am surprised that running Ruby twice gave you exactly the same result. It is surprising that the OS did not cause any randomizations. --Mike |
