Subject: [Gems-users] strange problem when compiling ruby
hi, everyone
I encounter a strange problem when I compile ruby on a x86 machine, and the target machine is sparc. fallowing is the error code:
**********************************
Template closure done
Make module
make[1]: Leaving directory '/root/gems/ruby'
Ruby: Linking simics module
cd ../simics; make ruby
make[1]: Entering directory '/root/gems/simics_3_workspace'
===Buiding module "ruby"===
make[2]: Entering directory '/root/gems/simics_3_workspace/x86-linux/obj/modules/ruby'
Using the Simics 3.0 API for ruby module
make[2]: Leaving directory '/root/gems/simics_3_workspace/x86-linux/obj/modules/ruby'
make[1]: ** [ruby] Error 2
make[1]: Leaving directory '/root/gems/simics_3_workspace'
make: *** [all] Error 2
**********************************
I can not see any clue of solution, and I do not think it is something wrong with the Makefile.***, since I can compile ruby quite well in a long time before the above problem suddenly happened.

Does anyone can help me? thanks a lot.
