Hi all,
 
I have a problem about how to simulate the synchronization and checkpointing in GEMS(RUBY+OPAL+SIMICS).
Assuming a CMP running SPLASH2 benchmarks, I want to simulate the synchronization and checkpointing after a specified number of opal cycles. Obviously I can write checkpoints by "Ctrl+c" and run command write-configuration within simics, but I have no idea how I can simulate the timing effects of synchronize request and checkpointing. So is there any method to simulate the synchronization and checkpointing in opal which I can use to study the performance overhead of different checkpointing interval ?
