[Condor-users] Announcing UK Condor Week, October 11th-15th

We are pleased to announce the inaugural United Kingdom (UK) Condor Week,
a workshop for the Condor community, to be held at NeSC in Edinburgh,
Scotland on October 11th to 15th 2004. 

The UK Condor Week has 5 aims: 

 -- To bring together people from the UK, Europe and globally with a
significant interest in the Grid, Condor and stable, cost-effective
High Throughput Computing.

 -- To present Condor developments, programmes and research, and to
demonstrate case-studies of academic and commercial Condor usage.

-- To provide a programme of tutorials, workshops, Q & A and
demonstrations from members of The Condor Team, tailored to the needs
of the UK Condor community.

 -- To develop a roadmap for continued Condor development, deployment,
integration and support which draws on skills and experience from within
Institutions, e-Science projects, the GOC, NGS and OMII. To stimulate
the formation of community that will undertake this work.

 -- To document the event's proceedings as a UK e-Science Technical
 Report.


There will be both an Administrators and Users tutorial, as well as a
Workshop on future UK Condor collaboration.
