Re: [Condor-users] new user

Hello,

Static/dynamic refers to how the executable is linked. Static includes required libraries in the executable,
where dynamic loads them at runtime. Don't worry about it, as static is the only version available for Windows.

Refer to http://www.cs.wisc.edu/condor/manual/v6.7/6_2Microsoft_Windows.html#SECTION00727000000000000000
for installation instructions, especially section 6.2.8.5 about starting the service.

Hi all,

I'm a beginner in Condor.
could you please tell me if it is possible to install Condor on winXP
or not? what is the different between Dynamic Download and Static
Download? Cause' I tried to download Condor for XP. I found only
Static Download available for XP. after that I  installed the
application and also answered couple of questions. Now I wonder how I
can start Condor? because there is no starting executable file!!!
is this related to how I've answered the questions?

Thank you so much
NN
