RE: [Condor-users] Explaining condorview stats

Actually, I know where the Idle/Running averages come from. It was the
percentage values that I found ambiguous. But I've figured it out:

For example, I have in my User Statistics for Day page the following
information:

User Total
Total Allocation Time 4515.9
JobsRunning Average 188.7 (8.0%)
JobsIdle Average 2541.8 (92.0%)
JobsRunning Peak 206.0 (18.8%)
JobsIdle Peak 3728.0 (95.7%)

The percentage for JobsRunning Average means: on average 8% of the jobs
in the system were running over the last day. (JobsRunning
Avg)/(JobsRunning Avg + JobsIdle Avg) x 100

The percentage for JobsIdle Average means: on average 92% of the jobs in
the system were idle over the last day. (JobsIdle Avg)/(JobsRunning Avg
+ JobsIdle Avg) x 100

The percentage for JobsRunning peak means: at peak, 18.8% of the jobs in
the system were running. (JobsRunning Peak)/(Jobs Peak) x 100

The percentage for JobsIdle peak means: at peak, 95.7% of the jobs in
the system were idle. (JobsIdle Peak)/(Jobs Peak) x 100

For the per-user columns is (Jobs Peak) really (Jobs Peak for that
User), correct? I think I've interpreted these numbers correctly now.

	Hi there

Well it does make the sense, Ian.

Select any of the graph for instance: open the "Condor Pool User
Statistics for Day ". There u select a graph by drawing the rectangle on
it and then zoom it till the red bottom line disappears and only the
blue stuff remains there. then do

(the sum of y axis digits) / (sum of no. of intervals i.e. x
axis digits)

you will get the JobsIdle Average.

	Cheers

What do the precentages represent in the condorview
output? Both the
machine and user page percentage values are a mystery to
me.
