All our boxes are also disabled via the bios so I can't confirm if it
works on windows or not sorry...

Prior to the addition of the hyper threaded count parameter and before
we just did away with hyper threading I used" NUM_CPUS = x" explicitly
so this does work on windows hence me putting it as the second
option...
