Re: [Condor-users] Error in 6.8.4 manual page 121 for condor_startd ?

Am I wrong to presume that the administrator part of the 6.8.4 manual is
incorrectly saying that:

  condor_master
  condor_collector
  condor_negotiator
  condor_startd
  condor_schedd

should be running on the central manager. Surely this is only the case
if the central manager is also an execute node. condor_startd should not
be in the list.

IMHO, I think you are correct that the manual is wrong. :)
In fact, AFAIK the above list is only correct if the central manager is ALSO a submit node AND an execute node. Neither condor_startd nor condor_schedd should be in the list if it is just to be a central manager.

It would be better to have a table with and/or relationships to express
the different combinations of node type.

I agree. :)

P.S. That joke is awful. Shouldn't be allowed... :) :)
