[Condor-users] fatal error while compiling an f90 "hello world" within (vanilla) condor pool

Note to admin: Apologies, I previously sent this email from an email address that was not registered on the list, this was a mix with me registering the wrong email address.

Hello Condor users,
I've been running a condor pool here for a few months, mostly successfully. However, one program that I have been testing always fails. I have narrowed it down to the beginning of the run where it tries to compile some user-customisable code before the main model runs. I've stripped out everything and left only the part that doesn't work.

I can successfully compile a FORTRAN90 "hello world" program when directly on the machine, but when trying to run this same code from a condor job, it fails with this error: LINK : fatal error LNK1104: cannot open file "TEMPFILE".

Has anyone had similar experiences to me with this issue?

I believe all details required to understand what I'm up to are below. If any more information would be helpful, please let me know!

Thank you for any help that you can offer,
Rob Stevenson
