Re: [Condor-users] Condor DRMAA Java Binding

Thanks for the reply.

I did check the sourceforge ink you provided earlier. They are improvements in C binding. Not sure if that will be of much help to me. Not surprisingly, even though other vendors provide a Java binding, they are not pure java bindings, but built on top of the C-bindings. For now I guess I will look for using those bindings for Condor. I guess it should be seamless as long as they have been done with the DRMAA API's in mind.

I did look into DanT's Gridblog. He does provide some information about porting Java bindings to other DRM's. May be of interest to those who need a Java binding.. http://blogs.sun.com/templedf/entry/porting_the_drmaa_java_language

IIRC, the DRMAA library we ship with Condor only has C bindings, not Java bindings.  If I am mistaken hopefully someone here will correct me.  There is a project on sourceforge that develops drmaa interfaces for Condor, you could look/ask there :

Also, you certainly can interface to Condor in pure java via Condor's SOAP API.  Just run the included WSDL files through Apach Axis and you'll end up with a java library that does almost everything the command line tools can do.

Hello all,

I guess there is one such library from Condor itself, but somehow I haven't been able to locate it. Please send me some leads to this library or any other information pertaining to that.
