- Subject: [Condor-users] condor newbie question on Rank for parallel jobs
Hi everyone,
I'm a Condor newbie. I have an 8-node Beowulf cluster running Condor. I have parallel jobs that can take a long time to execute. I don't want to preempt my running jobs, but want to run more than on job if I have the available CPU and memory.
When I submit subsequent jobs, I get the message "14 match but are serving users with a better priority in the pool". Is there way to set the Rank for a parallel job to allow submission of more than one jobs on claimed resource, or am I missing some concept altogether ?
