[Condor-users] condor_exec.exe is not a valid Windows executable

Hi,

 

I have a cluster consisting of two Windows XP machines: a central manager and one execute machine. 

 

When I submit an MPI job it appears to almost start on the execute machine, but there is an error in the StarterLog on the execute machine stating that condor_exec.exe is not a Windows executable.

 

Does anyone know what this means?

 

The StarterLog on the execute machine contains:

(cpilog_minimal.exe is the name of my MPI program)

 

I have set the permissions on the "D:\condor-6.8.4\execute" directory so that "Everyone" has full control, so I don't think there is a problem with Condor not being allowed to create the temporary directory "dir_1824" under "D:\condor-6.8.4\execute".

 

Non-MPI jobs run correctly. I am using condor 6.8.4 and MPICH 1.2.4
