A simpler method is to pass --disable-glibc-version-check to configure, no editing involved. This should be in both 7.0.1+ and 7.1.1+.

No, I didn't, as detailed here:

Around line 2500 in configure.ac add:

"2.6.1" ) # openSUSE 10.3
including_glibc_ext=NO
;;

Run build_int then configure again.

This will build condor without glibc and works (more or less) fine on my
openSUSE 10.3 64-bit systems.
