Thanks a lot for your help, Ben.  That seems to be working nicely so  
far.

Tip for anyone else doing this: Don't do the dumb thing I did and  
stick OFFLINE_LOG under $(LOCAL_DIR)/spool.  It *seemed* like a  
logical enough place right up until condor_preen helpfully deleted it  
for me. ;)
