[Condor-users] Condor Finished Notification

Hi there everyone 

As I understand it, when condor finished and "notification = always" is specified in the job submit file, the user will get an email telling them condor has finished and other useful information, and this is the only way a user can be notified. Is there a way this can be done programatically i.e. within a C++ program, to check if condor has finished with the job? and if not does anyone know why not?
