Re: [Condor-users] About Install Condor

Dear Zhu Shouqin,

I'll suggest you go for rpm version of condor that is on the list of downloads, (condor-7.2.4-linux-x86-rhel5-1.i386.rpm)
It is very handy, just do
 #cp condor-7.2.4-linux-x86-rhel5-1.i386.rpm /opt
 #cd /opt
 #rpm -ivh condor-7.2.4-linux-x86-rhel5-1.i386.rpm
 # cd condor-7.2.4

make changes in etc/condor_config (HOSTALLOW_WRITE,and READ)
and make changes in condor_config.local. and then run condor_master.

Hoping that you'll get success

Cheers,

Greeting to all,

I am trying to install condor on a Fedora 8 system. I tried the condor-7.2.4-freebsd6-x86-dynamic.tar.gz .when I tried to run the"ps -aus | grep condor" there is nothing!! And then I tried to run  condor_status,also there is nothing.

What would be the best condor tar release that can be installed in Fedora 8 boxes?
Thanks for your time and input in advance!
Respectfully,
