Just a follow-up to this: we have successfully tested the system without
USE_VISIBLE_DESKTOP, and are able to run multiple concurrent PPT report
generation processes quite successfully.
The processing cluster is just rolling out now, so this is just bench testing
so far, but condor seems to be passing with flying colours.
Thanks to everyone, and especially to Ian, for producing such a useful
toolset, and their advice in getting this moving.
