[Condor-users] How to properly setup LOCAL_DIR, EXECUTE?

Hello Condor users,

I have a problem, basically is trying to run external UNIX commands on the vanilla universe from a shared NFS directory; Because I plan to run only external commands I don't need to copy anything between machines but somehow my job definition fails complaining than the program is not there.

My job definition:

####################
#
# Sample of basic job
# How to define jobs: http://www.cs.wisc.edu/condor/manual/v7.5/2_5Submitting_Job.html
####################
Executable               = test_program
Arguments               = -b dummy
initialdir                    = bin
Universe                  = vanilla
Rank                       = machine == "myhost"
Error                       = logs/err.test_program.$(Process)
Log                         = logs/test_program.log
should_transfer_files = NO
Queue

My global definition (/localdisk/thirdparty/condor/etc/condor_config) is something like this:

LOCAL_DIR               = $(TILDE)
EXECUTE                 = $(LOCAL_DIR)/execute

On my local override file (/localdisk/condor/condor_config.local) I have:

LOCAL_DIR = /localdisk/condor

And finally my error:

ERROR: No such directory: $HOME/bin

Any ideas what the correct values should be for LOCAL_DIR, EXECUTE?

Thanks!
